Artist Statement:

I am drawn to organic forms. In nature, form dictates function: a feather, the interior of an ant hill, a crustacean’s shell. I’m also deeply interested in how time shows its effects, through how mountains wear, water carves river beds, and organic matter decays. I make work about line and form, with often heavy textural surface treatments. Exploration and experimentation plays a large role in my process of creating the forms.  I hope to invoke questions in the viewer, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
